Place of Grace

You think, you are such a great world-class sinner that not even Almighty God can rescue you? Or you think you have never ever wronged in life? Don’t flatter yourself! Nothing you could ever do is bigger than what Jesus has already done for you on the cross. When Jesus declared, ” It is finished” (Jn 19:30), he meant that the full price for sin had been paid – even if you’re Hitler. And there is not even one who is righteous (Rom 3:9-23).

Look at Jesus. He asked the Father to forgive the very guys who nailed him to the cross. If he was willing to forgive them, he’s willing to forgive YOU too. If you doubt that, it might help to remember that God forgave…not guilty

* Peter, who denied he ever knew Jesus (Jn 18:15-27; 21:15-22).
* David, who committed adultery and had the husband of the woman killed (2 Sam 11-12).
* Paul, whose first career was persecuting Christians (Acts 7:54-8:3; 9:1-16).

God loves you. Full stop. No strings attached, no matter what. He’ll forgive you if you just ask him to (1 John 1:9-10). And once you’ve confessed to him, those accusations you keep hearing-they are not from him.

the easiest exercise one can do is to get stressed out. I have been big time victim of this even after knowing that God is in control. But this time I chose not to entertain it and got relived. How? please go ahead reading…

When you are pulled in two directions at the same time, you get stressed, right? When God calls you to live one way and your body, mind, feelings and friends pull you another direction, you start to feel pressure. Jesus understood the stress first hand. He spent his last night on earth in agony, torn between his Father’s will and his own desires to escape the torment of the cross. -Mathew 26:36-46.

How to deal with stress?
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Did you get that?
Pray…about EVERYTHING. And while you’re at it, be thankful for all that God has already done. One result of that kind of prayer life is a deep comfort in knowing that God is good… the kind of peace that can only come from acknowledging that He is in control. Stress CAN’T survive under THOSE conditions.

Mother’s Heart

On the 26th of April 2014, Create2Change held a fund raiser live music event at New Orleans Cafe. Despite the lack of planning of the event, difficulty in finding a venue and our fellow brothers and sisters  falling sick … we pulled it through. And it was all the work of God, His Grace is truly enough.

We only had about 3 days before we decided we’d go ahead with it, we had no idea how we’re going to do it but it happened! It was just amazing that although many of our invited friends did not show up, it was the people from KIF that were there showing their support and really enjoying the evening. And i guess i saw a glimpse of what a church should really be like, a community. We are one. After all that is what Jesus wanted us to be, ONE in HIM. And i think that is what brings joy to the Lord and yes, HIS joy is our strength.

What really struck me from this fund raiser was that, it is truly not about us at all or the causes we support. It made me realise that we now have a greater purpose, to bring glory and honor to the name of Jesus, to love others just as he loved us. And at the end of the day i wasn’t clapping for myself, i wasn’t proud of myself like the way i used to be during the gigs i did earlier. I didn’t crave for people’s opinion and approval, i was just happy that this time it was all for Jesus. It was his love that made it all happen.

We met with Preeti of Mother’s Heart and had a nice time of discussion and sharing. There were 4 beautiful kids and the place was neatly kept. Two boys and two girls and their rooms were separate. Girls are girls, next to their pillows there was their soft toy nicely tucked in a shawl as if they were sleeping. sigh! cuteness.

The clock struck 4 pm and it was time for Preeti to do her daily chore- pull the water. She was very open and frank about her problems and the organisations’ as well. It was wonderful to have such a young believer woman taking on such a huge role. We handed over the amount raised from the event to Preeti and it was truly such a blessing. Our support to Preeti will continue although not financial. Despite all the challenges that lies ahead for her and the organisation, we know the Lord will pull her through. We request you to please keep her in your prayers as well. Below is the amount that were raised. Thank you for all your support.
