DEAR KIF FAMILY,

We are transitioning from the hardships of COVID-19 (2020) to the new normal 2021. God has been gracious and faithful to us. God has kept his promises. We have a dream of seeing a “flourishing Valley” (Psalm 92:12,13). As we navigate the complexity of COVID-19 as the disciple of Jesus, we have a great opportunity to display the love and peace of Jesus while we care for our family, neighbourhood, communities and those who are most vulnerable.

As followers of Jesus…

We can be PRAYERFUL: We have the unique opportunity of bringing all our fears, anxieties of ourselves and our community in prayer. Our walk is to be led by faith rather than fear. Apostle Paul reminds Timothy “For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7). We can bless our city through our prayer and care. As you walk, pray. Pray for the people and government, pray for the circumstances, and pray for health etc.

We can be PEACEFUL: All of us have primary responsibility as disciples of Jesus to rest in the peace of Christ as Jesus said in John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Daily get soaked in prayers, rooted in the love that casts all fears, to guard and govern our lives as we live. Trust that God will make up what is lacking in our hearts, minds and free us from personal fear and anxiety.

We can be PRACTICAL: We also should be responsible for taking all the precautions of COVID-19 set before us by the government. We also desire to serve as responsible people/communities of faith within our city to see our vision accomplish. We can make a difference as we work together for the good of our city. We model good citizenship and responsibility by helping the needy and helpless around us.

Stay safe & Be a blessing
