THOUGHTS IN A BOX

Post-earthquake (2015) gathering bits and pieces of my broken thoughts.

Allow yourself to be exposed as Christ works through the cracks. It can be a painful process of being stripped off of something you’ve held onto for so long. But know that nothing can keep you safe and loved as the strong and loving embrace of Jesus.

Be a fierce worshiper! (I know fierce is not a very positive word, but for now, I can only think of this word to explain).

Let his dreams be planted in you. Allow, welcome the change.

Worshiper, meaning not just praying and singing during your Saturday or Sunday services or leading in worship. But be a fierce worshiper in your daily life, in times of trial, of persecution, responding with love when you want to snap back at the person who offended or hurt you or your loved ones. Take that extra step to serve the people. Give, even when it’s your last piece of your favorite biscuit or the last hundred rupee note in your purse. For a fierce worshiper trusts her savior, who is her provider, the one who brought her out of the garbage and made a home with her, a fierce worshiper hangs on to the faith that she knows comes from the Almighty.

A fierce worshiper knows she can overcome that one more irritation, that one more hurdle, that one more pain of being disciplined, that one more tear that comes from laying herself down in humility and surrender, that one more temptation that the enemy tries to sneak in because she knows, that her savior, her healer, her comforter, her king who is the name above all names has defeated death. So she takes it all in with grace that comes from above. Fixing her eyes on the one who has his eyes fixed on her- Jesus, who gave it all.
